Hi, my name is Dave. As well as running Pescara House for bed and breakfast, I restore furniture. I like to pick up battered old pieces from the auction houses and give them back their dignity!
	Behind me in this picture you can see one of the first pieces I restored. It was a large chest of drawers that we had had for over twenty years. It was painted a light grey, and was always rather imposing and awkward. I stripped it back to the wood underneath, and now it is a central piece in our own bedroom. (My wife took this photo when I wasn't looking).
